Text Box: Indiana History
Welcome to our little corner of the World Wide Web we call INDIANA. This site was designed to help you get better acquainted with us and provide you information about our chapters, their members, our State Organization, and the National Good Sam Club. We are one of the largest camping/recreational vehicle clubs in the world with over one million members and growing. We have over 2,300 active chapters though out the United States and Canada. These  chapters support hundreds of local charities as well as participating in civic projects such as Adopt A Highway, National Clean Up Day, Habitat For Humanity.  But good deeds are not all we do. We also have fun, each year thousands of Good Samer's attend gatherings we call "Samborees" which are held in most States and include activities such as seminars, entertainment, craft classes, ice cream socials, dinners, and other events which make these a festive and worthwhile piece of  Americana.
Taking its name from the term "good Samaritan" The Good Sam Club came to life in 1966 when cartoonist E.C. Bilsland Jr. sketched a dark-haired character with a broad smile and a halo to personify the spirit of good Samaritan RVers. The rest is history and the Good Sam logo is one of the most recognized symbols among Campers and RVers. So if you enjoy fellowship, Camping and the RV life style you may want to come join us.
While we strive to provide you with as much information as possible here, that never the less is impossible to do with our limited space. So with that in mind enjoy your visit with us and if you would like more information about The Good Sam Club feel free to contact us or the Chapter Presidents listed here on our site. We have chapters through out the State of Indiana and we will welcome you with a smile as big as our good friend "Sam" shown above.
